Every client begins with an assessment of their needs, strengths and preferences. Our clinicians use American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria to match each person with the right level of care, and we build an individualized plan that addresses the physical, emotional and behavioral sides of addiction. We treat substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.

LEVELS OF CARE

Day Treatment

Day Treatment is our most structured level of care for adults with substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions. It includes more than 16 hours per week of therapeutic services:

  • Individual, group and family counseling
  • Peer support and case management
  • Experiential therapies such as yoga, meditation and acupuncture

Day Treatment typically lasts about three to four months, tailored to each person.

Outpatient Treatment

Outpatient treatment is a flexible option for adults with mild to moderate substance use and co-occurring conditions who need less intensive care. Clients attend group sessions during the week and receive individual counseling, peer support and case management, with regular drug screening to track progress. Outpatient treatment usually lasts three to six months.

Medications for Opioid and Alcohol Use Disorders

Medications for substance use disorders combine FDA-approved medications with counseling to treat opioid and alcohol use disorders. In partnership with Treasure Coast Community Health, Thrive offers these medications alongside counseling at no cost to people without insurance.

Thrive’s licensed clinicians and certified peer recovery specialists support adults and their families at every stage of recovery, from sober living to free family support.

RECOVERY SERVICES

Recovery Housing

Our recovery assistance homes offer a structured, supportive, sober living environment for adults moving into long-term recovery. Residents progress through three phases:

  • Phase 1: early-recovery support, peer mentorship and basic life skills
  • Phase 2: employment readiness and goal-setting
  • Phase 3: transition planning for returning to the community

Licensed clinicians and certified peer support specialists support residents throughout, with ongoing counseling tailored to each person's goals.

Peer Support

Our certified peer recovery specialists bring their own lived experience to help clients stay engaged, accountable and hopeful. Peers provide mentorship, recovery education and outreach at the Indian River County Jail and other community partner sites. Peer support is offered at no cost.

CRAFT: Free Support for Family and Friends

Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) is an evidence-based program for adult family members and friends of someone with a substance use problem. You'll learn communication skills, how to set healthy boundaries, and how to encourage a loved one toward treatment while taking care of yourself. CRAFT is available one-on-one or in a group, at no cost, and is open to anyone in the community.

Youth and Adolescent Treatment

Thrive also provides early intervention and adolescent treatment for youth with substance use and co-occurring conditions. Learn more about our youth prevention and early intervention programs.
