Michael serves as a Peer Support Specialist at Thrive, providing mentorship, encouragement, and support to individuals navigating mental health and substance use recovery. Drawing from lived experience and a deep understanding of the recovery journey, he helps empower others as they work toward their personal goals and long-term wellness.

While new to Thrive, Michael brings 19 years of experience working within the mental health and substance use recovery community. He is passionate about supporting individuals through challenges and helping them build the skills and confidence needed to succeed.

Originally from Miami, Florida, Michael enjoys music production and traveling in his free time. He is inspired by seeing people overcome addiction and achieve success in their lives. He has also been involved in community outreach efforts, including helping provide food and shelter resources to individuals experiencing homelessness.

His favorite quote is from Denzel Washington: “Without commitment, you’ll never start. But more importantly, without consistency, you’ll never finish.” A fun fact about Michael is that he loves a good New York slice of pizza.
