Counselor

Sheila Firle, is a counselor at Thrive, where she provides biopsychosocial assessments and recommendations for services, treatment planning, individual and group therapy sessions. Firle is in her first year with Thrive, but previously worked for three years as a counselor for Substance Awareness Center. Firle has served  5 years as a Program Director for Domestic Violence Shelter, Children’s Program, and Legal Advocacy Program, three years as a Domestic Violence advocate,  three years in Child Protection as a Dependency Case Manager, and nine years as a Master’s Level MH/SA Counselor. Firle is an avid football fan who prefers to watch games alone to take it all in. Her favorite books are the “Secret Life of Bees” and “Eat, Pray, Love.” Firle finds her personal and professional motivation by seeing people find their voice, be restored to their highest self, and love themselves enough to treat themselves well, and have lots of fun.
